Waterfront Gateway Competition

New Rochelle, New York

In 2013 the city of New Rochelle, NY conducted the Waterfront Gateway Design Competition to generate ideas for the development of an historic WWII-era armory site and adjacent parcels. Armory Green Waterfront Park creates an integrated commercial and public space, linking visitors and residents to waterfront recreational opportunities and establishing the Armory as an attractor of investment and a catalyst for future development of the neighborhood.

In August 2013, the project was selected by the jury as a semi-finalist. The winner will be announced late in 2013 and will become the basis for the planned development of the site.
